Homecoming 2015 Events

Well, Tigers, Homecoming Week is in full swing! And this isn’t your run of the mill Homecoming. This is the 150th Homecoming. We’re celebrating 150 special years of our favorite school, Towson University. If you haven’t started celebrating, join the party with these upcoming events. There is something for you to do every single day!



When? Wednesday, 10/21

12 – 1 PM

Where? Susq Patio

Why? Being a Positive Tiger is about having a great time, making safe choices, and representing your community well.

What? We want to help you do all of those things as well as give you some free Rita’s, t-shirts, and selfie photo ops.

Homecoming Block Party and Cornhole/Kan Jam Tournament

When?  Wednesday, 10/21


Where? Newell Field

Join us for our 6th Annual Homecoming Block Party! Games, activities, vendors, food and featuring our student DJ, Matt GHolden. Teams can pre-register for the Corn-hole and KanJam tournaments in order to compete for points, and individuals can play games, dance, and eat! Free t-shirts and promo items will be given out throughout the night!

Thank Goodness It’s Thursday! (T.G.I.T)

When? Thursday, 10/22

11 AM

Where? Freedom Square

Celebrate TGIT with cider, hot chocolate, and lots of candy. Goodie bags filled with treats will be handed out to anyone and everyone! Doc will be there commemorating the 150th Birthday of his favorite place on Earth and where he calls home, TOWSON! So come on over and grab some candy and take a snap with Doc!

P.S. Watch out for the spirit police! They’ll be cracking down on students not wearing Towson attire this day!

Roaring 150th Homecoming Pageant

When? Thursday, 10/22

8-11 PM

Where? West Village Commons Ballrooms

The Pageant will highlight the nominated members of the Homecoming Court! Members of the court will participate in a costume portion, perform a talent, and answer questions as they compete for your votes to become Towson’s 2015 Homecoming King and Queen! Enjoy hors d’oeuvres and mocktails, too!

Homecoming 150th Picture

When? Friday, 10/23

2 PM

Where? CLA Field

Come join us for a class picture taken by one of Towson’s favorite faces, KANJI! We will outline the number 150 as we gather together for this one time opportunity to commemorate the 150th Anniversary!
We will be giving out FREE 150th T-shirts on a first come, first serve basis! So grab some friends and come take a snap to last a lifetime!

Homecoming Tailgate

When? Saturday, 10/24

4-7 PM

Where? Lot 14

This Homecoming tradition invites students, alumni, and fans to show their TU spirit and support their home team- The Towson Tigers- as they prepare to take on Villanova University! All Towson University tailgating rules will be in effect.

7 PM

Where? Johnny Unitas Stadium

Come support your Towson Tigers in their homecoming game against Villanova! Bring your Towson spirit and be ready to cheer our team to victory! The Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at halftime, as well as homecoming week winners announced. Get ready for an #upROAR!
