Yeah. Uh huh. You know what it is. If you missed Towson CAB’s announcement, Wiz Khalifa will be headlining Tigerfest 2013! Initially we were surprised, but after looking things over and carefully reviewing the clues it all made sense. How could we have missed it?! Just for the thrill of it…. here are 8 reasons we should’ve known all along that Wiz was headlining this year’s Tigerfest.
This one’s almost too easy. Our school colors, his anthem… match made in heaven. It’s like if Prince went to play at JMU, or if Jimi Hendrix went to play at JMU, or if A$AP Rocky went to play at JMU (purple is cool). We can’t imagine how crazy it’s going to be when Wiz plays this song!
Well this isn’t confirmed, but really, have you seen the guy? His upper body is like a human art show! With exactly 102 tattoos, it would be irresponsible for us to NOT assume that one of those bad boys is either a tiger or the Towson logo. It’s really just us playing the odds.
Now there’s been plenty of speculation on what the acronym title of Wiz’s second album really means, but let us be the first to tell you: they’re all wrong! After working with Towson’s top-notch forensics team we figured out that O.N.I.F.C. stands for this: Opening. Next. tIger. Fest. Cool. Crazy, right? How could we have been so stupid!?

I mean we think it’s tiger print.
Boy how we love those Ravens! If Wiz has one downfall, it’s that he’s a Pittsburgh Steelers fan (GAG). We all want to enjoy the concert, but keep an eye on this guy. With our school being so close to Baltimore, he might be here with ulterior motives.
A daring fashion statement? NO. A big statement about Tiger pride? Perhaps. The yellow streak in Khalifa’s black hair is one of his biggest trademarks and if you ask us it just screams ‘Towson’!
Not really a hint, we just thought this was funny. It ain’t easy being cheesy….
You guys voted, and they listened! According to CAB Director Nick Jones, “Based on (the) TigerFest survey, Wiz Khalifa is always a top choice”. With a big name like KiD CuDi last year, they came up big again, pulling in another huge music superstar! We’re sure this year will be even bigger and better than last year!
TigerFest is April 19, at Unitas Stadium and tickets are on sale now! You can pick them up at the Union Ticket Office with student tickets costing $20 and non-student tickets costing $35!
